KVM Over IP - Convenient remote access to your servers

PEER 1's KVM over IP device includes an on-board web interface that gives you convenient, secure, browser-based access to servers located in PEER 1 data centers. The flexible multi-platform Java video viewer supports Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Firefox and Netscape browsers on Windows, Linux, Unix and OS X platforms.

With Remote Access Digital KVM over IP, you get "out-of-band" access to your servers using standard TCP/IP connectivity. With out-of-band management, you can maintain remote access to your server if for any reason your network is down. For security encryption of your information, you can choose from DES, 3DES, AES or 128bit SSL.

PEER 1's KVM over IP device allows for one remote access connection over IP and one local KVM access point at the rack.

Highlights
  • Perform remote installation of operating systems as if you were standing in front of the server.
  • Perform troubleshooting on a server that has lost network connectivity.
  • More cost-effective to troubleshoot server remotely than to pay a technician to come on site.
  • Allows for collaborative troubleshooting between remote and local technicians.
  • Provides BIOS level access to your servers. This is unavailable using typical remote administration tools such as SSH, Remote Desktop, VNC.

* KVM over IP is currently available in Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto, New York and Los Angeles. Other data centers to be announced.
